Islamabad, Pakistan — March 8, 2025
Islamabad is experiencing overcast skies and light rainfall today as a new weather system moves through northern Pakistan. The capital city has been seeing intermittent rain showers, which are expected to continue throughout the day, bringing temperatures down to a more comfortable 18°C.
The rainy weather is providing a welcome break from the heatwave in other parts of the country, with local residents enjoying a cooler atmosphere. While the rain has not been heavy enough to cause flooding in the capital, some areas have reported mild waterlogging, especially in low-lying streets.
The PMD has stated that this rainy spell is expected to last until tomorrow, after which temperatures are forecast to gradually rise once again. Citizens are advised to carry umbrellas and take precautions while traveling, as wet roads can lead to slippery conditions.
